Yahoo Maps

This is the start of a Yahoo Maps module. Right now, it is very basic and just inserts a Yahoo map into a node teaser and body, based on information stored by the location module in the location table.

Near term development will add more configuration options and support for the overlay of GeoRSS feeds.

This has been tested with Drupal 4.7

Yahoo Terms

This module provides an interface to other modules to use Yahoo Term Extractor service. To use this service, you have to get a Yahoo Application ID (http://developer.yahoo.com/faq/#apps).

It can be used as a standalone module to extract terms from (English) texts and assign the terms to the node from a chosen taxonomy vocabulary. This allows Yahoo Terms to "free tag" your content. Use in other languages might make sense but is not tested.

The source can be found at the contrib CVS repository.
The nightly builds can be found below.

yahoo weather

A weather forcast displaying module. Based on the Yahoo weather API. The first release provides a simple block, containing the temerature and weather picture of today. The temp units c/f and the location are settable.

It simply gets Yahoo data on cron-run, and display some results in HTML in a block.

This module can be a base for easy adding funcionality like:

  • Having more blocks
  • Having more settings available to expand blocks (with textual forecast, weather of tomorrow etc.)
  • Provide path setting to custom weather pics
  • Having a page with more (all) weather information
  • Work together with localisation modules to automaticaly display the weather for user location
